Executive Director of Clinical Services & Organic Growth

Job Description

Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, this position ensures that the programs and services delivered align with Gloria Nelson Clinic’s standards. It aims to provide the highest quality of customer service to our communities, supporting ongoing clinical strategic growth initiatives to maintain and increase occupancy.

Required Experience for EDCS&OG:

  • Degree in Healthcare Administration, or relevant experience in the healthcare industry
  • 5+ years of operations and supervisory/management experience in clinical management
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements and manage a budget
  • Experience in clinical management sales and marketing with proven success
  • Excellent communication skills and compassion for patients, staff, and the community

Primary Responsibilities for EDCS&OG:

  • Oversee the clinical operations by ensuring high standards of patient care and managing clinical staff
  • Attend all required internal and external Senior Management Meeting, Board Meetings and others
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the communities in assigned city/county
  • Develop and increase the profitability and efficiency of each city and company-wide
  • Communicate the clinic mission, vision, values, and goals to all staff each city
  • Foster a sense of enthusiasm, self-worth and team spirit among the communities
  • Serve with each of the city Directors to ensure coordination of activities and pursuit of common goals
  • Negotiates contracts or agreement terms, reviews contracts, and other legal documents, and coordinates with Legal counsel concerning legal matters
  • Provide suggestions for improvement and communicate alternate methods of operating among the Directors.
  • Monitor the performance of each Senior Manager in relation to the goals of the property; foster their professional development.
  • Assist in planning new initiatives and future direction for the Clinic and District.
  • Initiate, develop, implement and monitor new changes within assigned city.
  • Regularly inspect each city, make suggestions for improvements.
  • Follow up on implementation of suggestions and mandates.
  • Develops and oversees the implementation of internal policies and procedures covering clinical administration, finance, safety, etc.., ensuring compatibility with district policies. Consult with relevant district executives and staff to develop and implement internal policies and procedures, as needed.
  • Share new policies with the clinic to ensure perpetuity companywide.
  • Ensure coordination and consistency of quality service throughout the [cities].
  • Manage effectiveness and cost efficiency of operating policies and procedures.
  • Partner with HR to update and maintain office policies as necessary.
  • Working alongside the Finance department to ensure timely and accurate AP.
  • Manage contract and price negotiations with office vendors, service providers and office lease
  • Review monthly variance reports and financial statements with CEO and Senior Directors and address any budget variances.
  • Monitor labor costs and hours and address concerns and action plans with CEO and Senior Directors.
  • Monitor and respond to summary reports of operational and financial statistics, including monthly reporting package.
  • Responsible for Providers/Physician contracting.
  • Directly supervise, review, and evaluate the performance of the GNC staff.
  • Review and authorize all GNC bonuses, Capital Expenditures (CapEx) amounts, and large accounts payable checks prior to release.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to meet all goals established by the district and office need
  • Monitor GNC accounting and internal controls and practices.
  • Ensure the CEO is informed of major issues and make suggestions and presentations for change and improvements at GNC.
  • Work closely with the Executive Management to plan, develop and streamline processes within the office
  • Review clinic’s budgets and ensure they are in good order from field and acceptable prior to submission.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and trends
  • Work with Senior Directors and Physical Plant to develop CapEx plan for each assigned city and obtain approval for related expenditures.
  • Ensure the Employee satisfaction survey is completed and communicated at each assigned city.
  • Ensure action plans are created and followed.
  • Travel to various locations and attendance at identified District meetings is required.
  • Attend approved conferences/seminars and identify clinical industry trends.
